Adolfo De Las Heras Marín, acquired one of the most ecologically important wine making estates in Valencia in 1985. The El Renegado estate was 540 hectares of forest and vineyards, of which 80% was planted with 40 year old Bobal vines. Adolfo pioneered the introduction of other grapes such as merlot and cabernet.

It was Adolfo’s son also called Adolfo who upon taking over the winery in the late nineties, revolutionised the quality of production, importing additional varieties such as syrah, chardonnay, cabernet franc and updating the Barrel cellar and bottling line, as well as transforming the old Farmstead into a beautiful Hotel.


Organic wine with Vegan certification. Monitoring of maturation to determine the optimal time of harvest. Selection of grapes, controlled fermentation at low temperature and long maceration in stainless steel tanks.

COLOR: Deep cherry red in colour with a bright violet rim.
NOSE: On the nose there are great aromas of ripe fruits of the forest, strawberries and raspberries. With a light vanilla toastiness and hints of licorice and spices.
PALATE: On the palate it is full bodied and fruity with well rounded tannins, great acidity and light vanilla notes with a touch of smokiness. A well balanced wine with a persistent finish.
FOOD MATCHING: Ideal to accompany meats, fish, casseroles and pairs perfectly with rice’s and tomato based pastas. Also goes well with Cheeses and cured hams.
